Suba-Q

0607-BROWN

What if the shoes you wore to take out the trash reduced the amount of it on our planet?

Asking this question led us to create the Suba-Q, a home shoe made in Los Angeles. Using only leftovers from past productions of luxury leather goods means each pair is buttery soft, and unique. Underfoot, these are filled with re-ground cork, a waste product of the California wine industry. And yes, your eyes are correct; there is no left or right, just one spacious fit that forms to your feet with each step forward.

-- Hand made by Lalaland in Los Angeles, CA.

-- Upper and sole made entirely of upcycled leather remains from past factory productions.

-- Outsole pods made from factory off cuts. Stamping process is done in-house.

-- All thread is sourced from existing factory stock.

-- Sole filled with loose cork granules from Jelinek, sourced as a by-product of the California wine industry. Cork is renewable, compostable, and a carbon negative alternative to the fossil fuel based foam that is often used for footwear cushioning.
